Journey of a Book
Our fascinating 'Journey of A Book' series of illustrated talks, a special feature of United Publishers of Armidale, take you right into the heart of how a book is created and produced: from the first spark of an idea to the book appearing on bookshop shelves.
In this first Journey of A Book, author Sophie Masson and illustrator David Allan take you through the creative and production process of their joint picture book, Two Trickster Tales from Russia, which was also the launch title for Christmas Press in 2013, and is still very popular with readers. Learn how the story first came about on a quiet stroll down a country lane in Russia; find out how the visual world of the book was created, and discover how a bold decision around a special book became the springboard for the birth of an acclaimed boutique children's publisher.
